Nature Explorers is a safe place for children to learn and grow together in the outdoor and woodland environment. ‘It is about the process, not the product’ (Montessori).
Children are given the freedom to explore, create, learn, have fun, take supported and appropriate risks, and share community with others in the natural world. We encourage a love for nature and have a child-focused approach. Children can play and have choice. We share group games, teamwork activities, stories, nature crafts and create items with real tools. We build fires and cook campfire treats together (weather permitting).
Forest School sessions take place in all weathers, except in dangerously high winds, (sessions cancelled due to extreme weather are non refundable).
Things to bring with you
· Long sleeves and long trousers due to possible insect bites and stings, unless very hot then short sleeves and shorts could be worn
· Wellies if it is a wet day, trainers, or other closed shoes you do not mind getting muddy for dry days.

Simple snacks of fruit, biscuits etc are provided, though we recommend bringing your own snacks and drinks in a backpack to keep you going throughout the day. Walking boots or wellies are recommended and waterproof clothing is nesessary.
